Meritocracy - Real Stories

“I've been with the company for 30 years now. I joined the company in 05/1995 as an Assistant Accounts Receivable. In 1998, when B'Lao Group acquired Depallier, I was saved from redundancy by being assigned as a Financial Management Assistant, responsible in particular for relations with the liquidator during the reorganisation period prior to the acquisition. We had 60 employees at the time. I was only in charge of Corèle. In 1999, we added MALEFIX, which was also acquired by the Group. Little by little, my duties evolved, with the support of our accountancy firm, which trained me. The HR function was added to the accounting and financial functions. In 2019, we added the B'Lao Patrimoine business with the management of heritage preservation. In 2021, I supported Pierre FOURNIER in setting up and organising the new production facility in Saran. We went from a structure of 12 people to 70. I now supervise all the administrative, accounting, and financial aspects for 9 companies in France.”

I joined Scavi Hue back in 2016 as a sewing worker with no prior skills or experience. It’s been eight years of continuous effort - learning every day, improving myself, and picking up valuable lessons from my seniors. Now, in 2023, I’m proud to be the Technical Manager of a sewing area with more than 500 members. From someone who started with no technical ability, I was fortunate to receive professional training from Scavi’s team. Step by step, I became a multi-skilled sewing worker in 2016, then a line leader in 2018, and finally, in 2023, I reached a major milestone - becoming a young Technical Manager. This eight-year journey has deepened my love for the craft, strengthened my connection to the company, and provided me with a stable income that allows me to continue contributing and growing with Scavi. To me, this is what meritocracy truly means, that hard work, learning, and perseverance are always recognized.
